Metal Kiosk
Kiosk-type substations are self-contained metallic construction, environmentally controlled, and comprise practically MV switchgear, Transformers, and LV panels or different variations as per the customer’s demand.
Kiosk substations can be manufactured in various configurations to suit the available space and are suitable for use in industrial, commercial, and resident complexes sites. Kiosk consists of (3) main compartments:
♦ Medium Voltage compartment.
♦ Transformer compartment.
♦ Low Voltage compartment.
Each compartment is equipped with all the necessary equipment according to the customer specifications. The M.V and L.V compartments are arranged at both ends of the transformer compartments.
♦ The kiosk substation is fully assembled at our factory as one unit to be delivered to the site.
♦ Galvanised sheet steel, Aluzinc, or Al Sheets used for mainframe upon customer demand.
♦ Main base produced from NPU or 4mm Steel according to the project specifications.
♦ Epoxy dust powder paint used for the cover.
♦ The kiosk is manufactured according to EN 62271-202.
♦ Walls and roofs are double-layer with using eps or rock walls.

Insulation and Ventilation
Roofs and walls have double layer arrangements for heat insulation by using EPS or ROCK WOOL.

Dimensions are depending on the customer requirements.
For overseas projects, We design the kiosks in small size for easy and cheap transportation using the standard open top or HC containers as following:

Electrical Connections
LSK type sheet steel kiosk has AC and emergency internal lighting system as attached technical drawings.
LSK type sheet steel kiosks are generally electrically assembled according to the table, depending on the transformer’s power. In special cases, changes are made according to the system’s needs.

Earthing System
LSK type sheet kiosk earthing system is made of electrolyte copper depending on the short circuit withstand current and duration of the station, and the connection terminals to the outside are removed.

Protection earthing of all devices is made with a conductor of at least 35mm2 cross-section.
Metal bodies that are not energized such as doors, shutters, and control panels are connected to the grounding circuit with a conductor of 16 mm².
